Are you one of the candidates that is experiencing trouble checking their results? This post is for you if you have been unable to see your 2023 JAMB result. You should be aware that, for the time being, the only means JAMB has offered for candidates to check their results is via text/SMS. However, we believe they are already aware that some candidates are unable to use that method to check their results.
As a result, we believe they would undoubtedly establish provisions for such candidates to confirm their results via the board’s website using their registration numbers or the candidates’ profiles.
Candidates who are experiencing difficulty accessing their results are asked to be patient, as they will be allowed to do so soon unless theirs is among those withheld due to different anomalies.
Result Checking Problems Resolution
1. Make certain that the phone number you use for sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 is the same as the one you used to create your profile code during registration. If you’ve misplaced the phone number or SIM card and don’t mind the hassle of going through the SIM retrieval process, you can retrieve the line and use it to send the message.
2. Verify that the SMS is formatted as UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019. Keep in mind that the word “UTMERESULT” and NOT “UTMERESULTS” must be capitalized and written in the result. The words UTME and RESULT should not be separated by a space. “UTMERESULT” should be sent as a single word.
3. Another possibility is that not all of a certain day’s results have been made public. If there is widespread irregularity in an exam center, JAMB may opt to postpone the publication of results there until the problems are resolved. Other reasons for a postponement could include malpractice, lateness, etc.
4. Depending on the network you use, some of the problems could also be the consequence of a poor network; in such cases, there might be technical difficulties that eventually get fixed. Therefore, we advise applicants to wait a little while before trying again.
As we wait for JAMB to enable their portal so that candidates can quickly check their results online via the JAMB portal, we’ll monitor it. To find out when it has been enabled, see this thread.
