Details of the ASUU Scholarship
During the February 3–4, 2018, meeting at Gombe State University, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) National Executive Council (NEC) established a scholarship program for students attending public universities in Nigeria that are ASUU branches.
The ASUU Scholarship has been reduced to two hundred thousand naira (N200,000.00) per beneficiary from its original one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) award. It will be given to deserving students, with two recipients per branch (University).
Qualifications for ASUU Scholarships
For applicants to be considered for the undergraduate ASUU Scholarship, they need to:
📌 Have no means.
📌 Possess a valid student ID from an institution that has an approved ASUU branch.
📌 Possess a strong academic record (CGPA of 3.0 or higher).
Programs That Are Available
All accredited undergraduate programs at the applicant’s university are eligible for the ASUU Scholarship.

Benefits and Schedule of the ASUU Scholarship
If both students are registered branches of the union, N200,000.00 will be given to two students from each university.
The purpose of this fund is to help with living expenses, housing, and tuition for applicants.
Documents Needed for the ASUU Scholarship
When applying for the 2023 AASU Scholarship, you will need to submit the following:
🔻 A two-page application letter that must include the following information
🔻 Candidate’s name
🔻 Study year and course of study
🔻 Origin state
🔻 Why you think you’re the most deserving recipient of the award
The following documents must be sent with the applicant’s letter:
🔻 A copy of the applicant’s current identification card
🔻 A copy of the candidate’s current semester registration form; a letter from the candidate’s current Head of Department providing up-to-date information on the candidate’s CGPA for the previous academic session
🔻 Two(2) recent photos for a passport.
